JOB TITLE: People Operations Intern (Fall 2024)
LOCATION GY Properties, [Philadelphia, PA] – on-site
TYPE: For-Credit Internship
ELIGIBILITY: Junior & Senior Students Only

POSITION SUMMARY

The People Operations Intern will report to the Manager of People Operations and Culture, supporting the department with various Human Resources responsibilities and cultural initiatives. This role involves maintaining records, facilitating the hiring process, and contributing to employee engagement efforts.

This internship is not a paid position and is for Fall semester course credit, with a 20-hour/week requirement. Candidate will report to Philadelphia office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Acquisition: Evaluate pre-employment screenings and skill assessments. Schedule initial interviews.

  • Recordkeeping: Maintain employee records, spreadsheets, and project deadline tracking.

  • Culture: Perform HR tasks. Participate in planning employee engagement activities.

  • Documentation: Provide data entry and administrative support.

  • Communications: Assist with correspondence and calendar management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Enrollment: Must be a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

  • Initial Knowledge Base: Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.

  • Professionalism: Strong analytical and communication skills. Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity.

  • Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.

  • Responsive and open to feedback and growth.

HOURS: Part-time opportunity: 20h/week

WORK LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA 19123. Fully in-person role.
